The Jacksonville Jaguars would benefit from these former coaches’ success.

There are four weeks left in the NFL’s regular season, but the Jacksonville Jaguars have already started to plan for next season. They fired general manager David Caldwell after the team’s Week 12 loss to the Cleveland Browns, and although they told head coach Doug Marrone his job is safe for the remainder of the season, it seems inevitable that he will get the pink slip at some point.

Once the ‘Jags’ relieve Marrone of his duties, they will look for a new head coach to take his place. This must be an exhaustive process and the team has to look at every single candidate they think can help turn this team around.

There are different routes the Jaguars can take in their coaching search. They could look into assistants that have overseen and develop successful units such as Kansas City offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy or Baltimore Ravens defensive coordinator Don Martindale.

On the other hand, this Jacksonville team could hire someone with experience coaching an NFL team. There are many candidates that have had success in previous stops and could get another job as an NFL coach.

Here are four former NFL head coaches with previous success the ‘Jags’ should consider in their upcoming search.
