The Jacksonville Jaguars defense needs to do their part in Week 9.

Heading into Week 9, the Jacksonville Jaguars have shown some positive signs. However, the performance of their defense as a whole isn’t one of them. The unit ranks near the cellar in most meaningful categories and is in dire need of more playmakers.

On the bright side, a pair of defenders are returning to the lineup. Lineback Miles Jack and safety Jarrod Wilson will take the field against the Houston Texans. Although they were limited in the team’s latest Injury Report, head coach Doug Marrone said that both of them and tight end Tyler Eifert would play in Week 9.

That’s good news for the Jaguars, as they’re going to need a full deck or as close as it can get if they take on an efficient Texans offense. Even though Houston holds a 1-6 record and isn’t very good at running the football, their passing offense currently ranks fifth in the league with 15 touchdowns.

Also, the Texans take care of the ball and have turned the ball over just eight times this season. The Jaguars will need to force some turnovers and keep these four players in check if they want to win their second game of the year.
