Former Jacksonville Jaguars player would love to see DE in Philadelphia

If the Jacksonville Jaguars decide to trade Yannick Ngakoue, former teammate Malik Jackson would love to see him in Philadelphia.
At least one former Jacksonville Jaguars player is on board with the idea of defensive end Yannick Ngakoue becoming a Philadelphia Eagle.
No trade has been made as of writing this story, but when asked about the idea of playing with his former teammate while the two were in Jacksonville, Malik Jackson said he would love to see Ngakoue join the team.
"“Yeah, it would be dope. I say it would be nice but I’m not going to say yes because then that means that we would have to give someone up,” Jackson told the Going Deep podcast via Heavy.com“And that’s one of those things that shakes up our D-line room so I don’t know how that would work, from a front-office standpoint.”"

The move would certainly help the Eagles pass rush while weakening what the Jaguars are trying to rebuild this season. Jacksonville finished seventh in the NFL in sacks last season despite having one of the worst run defenses in the league last season. The front office has made moves this offseason to try to revitalize the unit, which has meant several popular veterans have either been traded or released since the end of the 2019 season.
The “battle” between Ngakoue and the Jaguars front office has been well documented this offseason since the 25-year-old took to Twitter to announce he would not seek a long-term deal with the football team. Since then, it has been a war of words on Twitter as he has called out upper management and team executives. At one point, Tony Khan, son of owner Shad Khan, answered his messages, telling him it is hard to trade him when he is lowering his value because of his Twitter rants.
Still, there is plenty of value from the defensive end who has 37.5 sacks and 14 forced fumbles in four seasons down in Jacksonville. The cost, the price the Jaguars want for his services, may have been too high for some teams who were reportedly interesting in making a deal.
The Las Vegas Raiders, Buffalo Bills, New York Giants, and Eagles were all linked to Jacksonville as potential suitors.
Jackson, who was part of the defense that help the Jacksonville Jaguars reach the AFC title game in 2017, believes this is a deal that could work for his current team.
"“I think it would be good. I think Yannick brings a great pass rush. I think he’s a stout player in the run, and I think he’s an all-around — you know, he’s already shown that he’s a Pro Bowler over the last four years,” Jackson said.“He’s had plenty of sacks so I think he’d come here and be a real good asset to this defense, especially with what the defensive coordinator got us out there doing, with what Jim Schwartz has us doing out there, just going straight.”"
