Round 3: No. 73 – Jeremy Chinn, S, Southern Illinois

Kathy Clark of Black and Teal really likes Jeremy Chinn to become a Jaguar and after doing some research, I can see why. Chinn would give the secondary a solid player who could become a leader of the defense.

A safety with 6-foot-3 height and 221 pounds on his frame could create match-up issues for opposing wide receivers. What I like about Chinn is his physical development. He looks like he could take someone’s head off. The Jaguars could use a heavy hitter back there.

If the Jaguars do draft him, it presents an interesting situation. With Ronnie Harrison already plugged in as the team’s strong safety, can Chinn mover over to free safety and play just as effectively?
