Which players might the Jacksonville Jaguars select who would be considered surprises in the first round of the NFL Draft?

The clock is ticking. The Jaguars are just over three weeks away from the NFL Draft and like a kid at Christmas, I am giddy to see who this team makes their first and second picks in the first round in Las Vegas.

I can only imagine what it could be like to be there in person, watching it all happen. It’s a bucket list item for me that one day will come true. For now, I am going to sit at home and analyze every pick the Jaguars use to hopefully improve their roster.

With 12 picks, how can this organization not make a leap from where it is now to where it could be in a few months. Even a two-game improvement is better than the basement the team currently sits.

The Jaguars have holes to fill, a new offensive coordinator and a defense that needs a complete makeover. Rome wasn’t built in a day, but in the NFL teams can turn things around with the snap of a finger and a change in philosophy.

Let’s hope the moves the front office made this offseason are the start of something big in North Florida.

We have all seen multiple mock drafts that have the Jaguars taking players all over the place, even at quarterback. Now, what if they shock us all with their maneuvering and definitions of team need? Will there be a surprise or two from general manager David Caldwell? It’s a possibility.

Here are three players that the Jaguars might surprise us with on Draft night.
