The Jaguars still have plenty to play for Sunday at Atlanta against the Falcons. Fans should watch these three players.

Jacksonville Jaguars offensive coordinator John DeFilippo echoed the sentiments of Doug Marrone earlier this week when he spoke to the media.

Right tackle Jawaan Taylor had the best game of his rookie season at Oakland last week. The second-round player out of Florida has had a few rocky moments of late, but he and the offensive line did a better job blocking this past Sunday, which helped quarterback Gardner Minshew lead the team to a fourth-quarter comeback, 20-16.

"“Jawaan has made strides each week,” DeFilippo said. “He’s a really good right tackle in this league right now, but I think Jawaan’s going to have a really nice career in this league as a right tackle for a long time in this year.”"

The Raiders, like the Jaguars, have young pass rushers of their own that have been dominant this season. Taylor helped the Jaguars avoid the pass rush, giving Minshew time in the pocket to engineer two late touchdowns for the win.

"“He has those traits of linemen that I’ve been around that have had nice careers in this league – eight-, 10-, 12-year careers,” DeFilippo added via Jaguars.com."

The question is can Taylor have the same kind of impact this week against the Atlanta Falcons?

Jacksonville, like Atlanta, is 5-9 this season and needs a win to help ease some of the pain of unmet expectations. The Jaguars also know they are playing for next season and a possible place on the team’s 53-man roster for 2020.

If the Jaguars are going to win Sunday, and make it two road victories in a row, these three players must step up.
