Jaguars host the Buccaneers: Predicting the Score
By David Levin
Can the Jacksonville Jaguars stop this two-game skid with a win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday afternoon at home?
Tom Coughlin made it a point to make sure fans knew they are needed on Sunday. The Jacksonville Jaguars have five games left in the season, three of them at home. Anything can happen and with the crowd in the stands starting this weekend against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, it will help motivate this team on the field.
There has been enough turmoil this season with the Jaguars, having started the year with an injury to their starting quarterback to now, where the roster has lost three straight games. A win this weekend lessens the blow of being punched in the gut many times over with a run defense that has been awful.
Coughlin reiterated everyone in the building has a job to do, to get better. That includes him and how he has helped to run this franchise.
Doug Marrone has taken his fair share of criticism as well the past few weeks, deciding to bench a rookie quarterback who may have lost the last game he played but brought excitement to the fan base here in DUUUVAL.

Once again, the staff here at Black and Teal have made our own predictions regarding today’s game against the Buccaneers. See what they have to say in choosing a winner in this in-state rivalry game.
Anthony Robertson – The Jaguars are going up against a Tampa Bay team who has had many struggles this season but has arguably the best tandem of receivers in the NFL. I think if Jacksonville can control the clock and limit the Bucs offense they have a good shot at winning. If it becomes a shootout they may be in trouble. Jacksonville 30 Tampa Bay 27
Kathy Clark – The Buccaneers were my first love. Both teams, Jaguars and Buccaneers, have the same record and are basically playing for “pride.” Jameis Winston is a talented but flawed quarterback.
Nick Foles is a sort of good quarterback. The Bucs have a talented defense as do the Jags. Who to pick? I will pick the Jaguars because I am loyal to the end. Jaguars 24 Buccaneers 21
Lorenzino Estrada – Jacksonville is coming off its worst streak in franchise history. It is a complete fall from grace (if there was any). Tampa Bay boasts a stacked offense that will test the Jaguars once-formidable defense.
This game will be an opportunity for Foles to get back on track, especially with Leonard Fournette being limited by the Bucs good rush defense. Jaguars finally get a win, 31-28
David Levin – I have thought about this one long enough. Two teams with identical records with plenty to prove in an in-state showdown at TIAA Bank Field. The Jaguars need this one in the worst way.
After an abysmal game in Tennessee, can Jacksonville bounce back? And if they are behind significantly, will Marrone pull Foles for Gardner Minshew?
It smells more like a quarterback controversy, especially if the rookie can make the offense move the football. I like the home team in this one, where Jacksonville must worry about the passing game more than the running attack of the Buccaneers. Jaguars 23 Buccaneers 17
Jesse Overby – The Jaguars will not make the playoffs this year, so the last five games will show their character. First up, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Both teams have a record 4-7 this year, but it just feels like the Jaguars are the better team.
The Bucs don’t have the rushing attack that the Jaguars have faced the last three weeks, which should help the Jags defense have a better game. And the Bucs defense isn’t as talented, so the Jags should be able to put some scoring drives together. The Jaguars win this one easily, 24-10.
