The NFL has announced the Jacksonville Jaguars will face the Houston Texans in London next season as one of five international games being played in 2019.

The Jacksonville Jaguars will once again make their way across the pond to London when they host a game against the AFC South Champion Houston Texans next season as one of five international games being played in 2019.

The NFL will host four games in the UK while one game will be played in Mexico City according to the NFL and multiple sources. This is the second time the Jaguars will host an AFC  South rival as its “home” game in the seven seasons the team has played overseas.

"Per Grant Gordon of NFL.com, “London’s calling for four games and Mexico City will get another shot to host a Kansas City-Los Angeles showdown.“The quartet of London games will be split at Wembley Stadium and Tottenham Hotspur’s new stadium.”"

The Jaguars have been considered the league’s host city for the International Series since team owner Shad Khan and the league agreed to a deal where the Jaguars would host one home game a season through 2020.

Team Black and Teal benefits financially from the game played overseas as it is revenue generated for one of the NFL’s smallest markets.

"Gordon added, “That dates and kickoff times will be announced in the spring as part of the full NFL schedule release, along with the venues for the London tilts.”"

The Jaguars hosted the Philadelphia Eagles last season, falling 24-18 to the defending Super Bowl champions.

Since the 2007 season, the NFL has hosted regular season games outside the United States every year. It is a way for the league to promote its business on a world stage.

The Jaguars were not the first team to agree to play multiple seasons in London. In 2012, the then St. Louis Rams agreed to play one home game a year for three years as the league’s “home” team.

In 2013, Khan and the NFL reached an agreement to play games through 2016 and later extended that deal to run through the 2020 season, leading to speculation the team would move to London and become the first permanent team in the league to play outside the United States.

The other games announced by the NFL for the 2019 season are the Kansas City Chiefs at Los Angeles Chargers in Mexico City,  the Carolina Panthers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers in London,  the Chicago Bears at Oakland Raiders in London, and the Cincinnati Bengals at Los Angeles Rams in London.
