That’s a statement that would have sounded ludicrous last August, when we were arguing about whether or not the Jaguars were going to cut quarterback Blake Bortles after benching him in the third preseason game.
Improbably, the Jaguars put things together and had their most successful regular season since 2007. They beat a modest Buffalo Bills squad in the wild card round and just vanquished the offensive juggernauts that were the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Jaguars pulled off a big upset last week, but they’re going to need some magic again as they face off against future hall of famers Tom Brady and Bill Belichick.
It’s a tough ask considering historically how good Tom Brady has been, but the Jaguars have the formula to beat the Patriots.
So what’s going to happen when the Jaguars travel up to Foxborough and face probably the greatest dynasty in NFL history? Will the defense recover and find a way to shut down Tom Brady?
