The Oakland Jaguars?
By Lionel Joel
Relocation rumors are buzzing again, with the Jacksonville Jaguars’ name thrown around again.
The Jacksonville Jaguars are familiar with relocation rumors. Los Angeles was a very popular pick for many years. It was suspected by many and assured by few. But the fans in Jacksonville proved their loyalty through higher ticket sales than the St. Louis Rams and San Diego Chargers who now call L.A. home, but also teams like the Buccaneers, Dolphins, Falcons, and Bills. The list also included storied franchises like the Steelers, Bears, and Vikings. All sold fewer tickets than the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Dead last in attendance for much of the 21st century? The Oakland Raiders. The soon-to-be Las Vegas Raiders. Is Oakland happy? No. Will reason and patience prevail among the loyal Oakland fans? Also no.

On December 1st, 2017, Kimberly Veklerov was brave enough to be the first lazy, unwitting writer to suggest Jacksonville may lose the Jaguars to Oakland.
(Stop laughing, I think she thinks she is actually breaking a story.)
Assuming Ms. Veklerov takes ownership of the information she broadcasts, she believes the Jacksonville Jaguars, a team pioneering the European market, with owner Shad Khan investing hundreds of millions in stadium upgrades and local, revenue-building accommodations, would throw it all away during a franchise renaissance.
Veklerov, along with the Oakland Alameda Stadium Authority, believe they can entice an NFL franchise to Oakland, ranked 31st or 32nd in attendance from 2012-2016, to play in the stadium so decrepit, football and baseball teams alike despise playing there. A place so disgusting, sewage floods occur when it rains. On Multiple occasions. If the city of Oakland was a parent, child protective services would remove the Raiders and A’s from its control immediately. Here are more reasons Oakland lost national respect and a lucrative NFL franchise.
The Oakland Jaguars? Hard pass, Kimberly Veklerov. Please apply some basic research and logical reasoning before reporting on whatever the Oakland Alameda Stadium Authority says. You keep your public humiliation and inept leadership. The JACKSONVILLE Jaguars will enjoy growing their international brand, the local economy, and on-field success.
