The Jacksonville Jaguars are not giving their fans any reasons to smile.  In fact, the Jaguars appear to be in a state of disarray.

The Jacksonville Jaguars signed quality free agents this spring.  Jacksonville drafted some potentially very good rookies.  Currently, it appears that the Jaguars are in a state of disarray.

The word disarray can be either a noun or a verb.  According to dictionary.com

"verb… to put out of array or order; throw into disorder…noun… disorder; confusion…"

Seems like both verb and noun describe the Jaguars team.  After two preseason games, Doug Marrone declares that the starting quarterback position is open.  Have the Jaguars squandered away the offseason and training camp?

Blake Bortles‘ struggles have been widely reported.  Bortles spent the off season in California working on his mechanics.  He is not winning over the fan base or maybe even his teammates?

Allen Robinson was captured via video voicing his frustration with a Bortles’ pass.  Apparently Jalen Ramsey would like to see a different starting quarterback.  Jacksonville must deal with the quarterback situation quickly.

Other Signs That The Jaguars Are In A State Of Disarray

First, the starting defensive secondary has yet to play a down together.  Ramsey has not played one down of preseason football due to recovering from surgery.  Because of all the injuries, let’s hope that the secondary will be ready in week one.

Next, ProFootballTalk‘s Mike Florio reports a riff between some players and the Jaguars old school approach.

"Yes, some players are embracing the new approach. Others just aren’t wired that way; one league source told PFT that at least one player has remarked that the physically demanding camp will shorten his career by at least two years. Others have been quietly grumbling about it,"

Finally, Brandon Allen looks to be the spark for the Jaguars offense.  However, he has not been given an opportunity to take first team reps.  At this point, Bortles and Chad Henne are battling it out for the starting quarterback job.  Allen has played well in the preseason.

As week one grows closer, the Jaguars have issues to solve. Let’s hope everything is settled this week.  The Jaguars fans deserve a reason to cheer at Everbank Field.
