As Jaguars fans, it’s understandable for us to want to take a step back and not take the preseason too seriously, but we are absolutely going to glean as much as we can from tonight’s performance.
While all eyes will be on Blake Bortles and whether or not his mechanics look improved, my vision will be fixed on the defensive side of the ball to see how guys like Myles Jack and A.J. Bouye are adjusting to their new, prominent roles.
Offensively, we should enjoy the limited amount of carries we’ll see Leonard Fournette get. I assume the Jaguars will give a handful of snaps in the first series and then call it a night. Fournette has been nothing but impressive in training camp and there’s no reason to believe he won’t be ready to hit the ground running week 1.
