Malik Jackson, Dante Fowler, Yannick Ngakoue, and Calais Campbell all on the same line is a scary thought for Jacksonville Jaguars opponents.

The free agency period is just beginning, and the Jacksonville Jaguars have reportedly already made some really big and impressive moves on defense. The Jaguars have already locked in major deals with Barry Church (S) and Calais Campbell (DE), and also seem to be pulling ahead on A.J. Bouye (CB). If the Jaguars can pull off all of these deals, they will potentially have one of the best defenses in the league.

With the new addition of Calais Campbell, the Jaguars defensive line is turning into a force of nature. Yannick Ngakoue had an impressive rookie season, outperforming many defensive ends drafted well above him. He lead the team with eight sacks and broke a franchise record for most sacks as a rookie. He also made the PFWA 2016 all-rookie team. Yannick Ngakoue is proving to be one of the best young defensive ends in the league.

Malik Jackson has proven his worth as well with a career high 6.5 sacks with the Jaguars in 2016. He has done an excellent job putting pressure on opponent quarterbacks. His huge contract was a big expectation for him to live up to, but he did exactly that. It’s no doubt that Jackson’s best years are yet to come.

Dante Fowler showed huge flashes of potential in 2016. He started the season off slow, but as it progressed he seemed to only improve game after game. He is a determined player who has proved he is capable of delivering huge hits. His quickness off of the line is a deadly skill. No doubt, he will be a force to reckon with in 2017.

More from Black and Teal

Last but not least, Calais Campbell, the two time pro-bowler who seems to be doing everything but slowing down. He has been in the league since 2008, but his best years were in 2014 & 2015, which is a good sign. His sheer power is going to be hard to stop, and him and Jackson will make an incredible tag team. He brings veteran leadership to the young Jaguars defense. His experience and knowledge will be a great asset to the team.

Stopping the four of these guys on the same line will be no easy task. Guys like Abry Jones will do an excellent job of adding into the mix as well. In 2017, the Jaguars play a number of teams with impressive offensive lines, like the Dallas Cowboys and the Pittsburgh Steelers. If they want to stop power offenses like them, they are going to need to have an elite defensive line. Needless to say, I look forward to watching these guys on Sundays. 2017 is for sure going to be an interesting one.
