The Jacksonville Jaguars look to notch their first win of 2016 with a win over the San Diego Chargers and the Madden 17 simulations give it to them.

If you’re looking for a little hope before the Jacksonville Jaguars take on the San Diego Chargers in Week 2, look no further than the Madden 17 simulation from App Trigger.

App Trigger is simulating every game in the 2016 NFL season and the Jaguars take home their first win against the Chargers in this game. 24-17 isn’t a great margin for victory, but it’s enough to take home the (virtual) title of champion.

In particular, the simulation predicts a big day from T. J. Yeldon that will power the Jags to a win. This is something we questioned after Chris Ivory was ruled out for the game, though we at B&T noted that the running game would be critical. Here’s what writer Daniel George had to say:

"It wasn’t on the passing game of Blake Bortles that kept the Jaguars ahead. He had a fairly unremarkable zero touchdowns and zero interceptions, although he did complete 76% of his passes for 240 yards. No, it was the one-man running crew of T.J. Yeldon himself, running the ball for 144 yards and three touchdowns on the day."

If this is how the game shakes out, Jags fans should be pretty happy. The Jaguars need to get revenge on the Chargers after so many defeats in recent years. Philip Rivers and company torched the Jags last year and the team is itching to prove that they have gotten better since then.

This is a winnable game and it isn’t just the Madden 17 simulation that thinks so.

Hopefully we will see a strong rushing attack and plenty of other positives in Week 2. The Jags lost a close one in Week 1, but they can finally get into the win column in Week 2.

Bring on the Chargers!
