The Jacksonville Jaguars are hoping they can start a pressure-laden 2016 season with a big win over the Packers.
The wait is finally over – after months of hype, the Jacksonville Jaguars open the 2016 regular season at home against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. After putting together one of the most impressive offseasons in recent memory, expectations are high for the Jacksonville squad as they try and build some semblance of chemistry with the numerous new names along the offense and particularly the defense.

Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley wants to buck the trend of the starting slow over the last 3 years, but he’s going to have a hard time against one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. After what was considered a “down” year by his standards,
is primed to bounce back now that he has his favorite weapon back in
. Nelson’s return coupled with a slimmed down (thanks P90X!) version of Eddie Lacy will likely result in the Packers once again having one of the most potent offenses in the league.
The Jaguars are hoping they can slow down Rodgers with a revamped defense, but this game is likely going to fall on the shoulders of third year quarterback Blake Bortles and whether or not he can score enough to keep up with Rodgers.
