The Jaguars have an enviable amount of young talent, but no player is as valuable right now as Allen Robinson.

The most important position in football is without a doubt quarterback and the Jacksonville Jaguars are not an exception to that rule – the season is in serious jeopardy if Blake Bortles misses any time.

Still, the argument could be made that a different player is the Jaguars’ Most Valuable Player – 2015 Pro Bowler Allen Robinson.

After leading the league in touchdown receptions, Robinson looks poised to be even better in 2016. He’s been dominant in the preseason and doesn’t look like he has any rust heading into the regular season.

Two separate writers agree that Allen Robinson is the Jaguars non-QB MVP. One of them –

Danny Kelly over at The Ringer

– cites Robinon’s big play ability:

"Jacksonville Jaguars: WR Allen RobinsonRobinson caught 80 passes for 1,400 yards and 14 touchdowns (tied for most in the NFL) last year. Opposing defenses have to scheme for him down the field: He averaged 17.5 yards per catch, his average target traveled more than 15 yards in the air, and he led all receivers with 19 catches of 20-plus yards."

The other –Mike DiRocco over at ESPN – believes Robinson could be even better in 2016 after taking time this offseason to hone his craft and become an all-around receiver.

"Wide receiver Allen RobinsonRobinson had a breakout season in 2015 (1,400 yards, team-record 14 TDs), and he’s clearly the key to the offense. He worked on becoming a better route runner, which will make him even tougher to stop. He’s an amazing athlete (40-inch vertical leap) and has shown that off by going up and winning 50-50 balls and making countless back-shoulder catches. Defenses are going to have to double him and that opens up other options for an offense that has a good supply of playmakers. — Mike DiRocco"

While the Jaguars are going to go as far as Blake Bortles takes them, Allen Robinson is the one player who could take this offense from good to great with his ability to put together elite performances week after week.
