Jacksonville Jaguars offensive drives have been particularly impressive in the preseason with the first team offense on the field.

Strong running, big passes, short passes, fighting for yards, the first team Jacksonville Jaguars offense has delivered in almost every aspect so far this preseason.

That didn’t change against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Preseason Week 2. Aside from one drive that was backed up before even first down, the Jags offense has hardly been stopped.

Three touchdowns, a field goal, and one punt is the total production from the Jacksonville Jaguars offense at this point in the preseason. Both games have featured strong drives by the Jags, including an 11-play, 80-yard drive by the Jags against the Bucs.

This is the kind of offensive performance the team was hoping for with young stars Blake Bortles, Allen Robinson, Allen Hurns, and T.J. Yeldon. They, along with free agent addition Chris Ivory, have been exceptional when called upon.

The biggest difference to this point appears to be the running game and run blocking. Yeldon and Ivory are seeing holes opened up that the Jags haven’t had in years. In addition, both running backs are willing to take hits and actively fight for further yards on every single touch.

Bortles and his receivers have picked off where they left off in 2015. Robinson looks improved, Marqise Lee is healthy, and Hurns has already delivered a few key catches.

This Jacksonville Jaguars offense has been the kind of efficient, diverse attack the team has craved for the last five or more seasons. It’s still just the preseason, but it’s hard not to get excited by what the Jags are presenting with the first team.
