The Jacksonville Jaguars wrap up what has been undoubtedly a disappointing season today against the likely AFC South champion Houston Texans.

After declaring that the team was “built” and ready to compete for the division crown, head coach Gus Bradley has led a young but talented squad to only 5 wins despite what might have been one of the easiest schedules in recent memory for any team. The Jaguars have faced a slew of backup quarterbacks and underachieving teams, but several blown opportunities at the end of games cost them.

Bradley got the vote of confidence from owner Shad Khan heading into 2016, but he has a high bar to clear if he wants to keep his job after his contract expires next year.

Looking ahead to this contest, the Jaguars have nothing to play for outside of pride and the Texans need to win this game to secure the division. If anything, the Jaguars main goal in this game is to make sure they get out of this one without any key injuries. Sen’Derrick Marks tore his ACL in a meaningless game at the end of the 2014 season and it certainly impacted the defense in 2015. The coaches should treat this like a preseason game and pull the starters after a little while.
