Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Indianapolis Colts: Preview, TV Coverage and Streams

facebooktwitterreddit

The Jacksonville Jaguars are back home after a tough road loss to the Tennessee Titans and they now have to face another divisional opponent in the Indianapolis Colts.

Usually a matchup against the Colts means a loss, but things are different in 2015. Andrew Luck is out with an injury and a 40-year old Matt Hasselbeck is starting, the offensive line is in tatters, the defense has no playmakers, and the coach is almost certainly going to be fired at the end of the season.

On the other side of the field, the Jaguars have less wins than the Colts but they have significantly better prospects moving forward.

Blake Bortles

has emerged as a burgeoning young quarterback in his second season and he’s joined by

Allen Robinson

and

Allen Hurns

on the sophomore breakout team. The defense has been terrible for most of the year, but there are some promising pieces in

Telvin Smith

and

Aaron Colvin

.

The future looks brighter in Jacksonville, but the two teams still need to play today and there are actual postseason implications thanks to the absolutely dreadful state of the AFC South. It’s naive to still think the Jaguars are a playoff contender, but the Colts control their own destiny. The Jaguars can play spoiler and keep their dwindling division title hopes alive with a win today.
