Jaguars Fantasy Football Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em: Week 7
The Jaguars head to London this week to play host to the Bills, who have several key injuries. This could be a juicy fantasy matchup for a number of players on both sides — Here is your Week 7 Jaguars Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em
Start ‘Em:
Blake Bortles — Bortles is having quite the impressive fantasy season. He has thrown the most touchdown passes in the league over the last 3 weeks and ranks in the top ten amongst fantasy QB’s in nearly every format. If you have him on your team you should start him this week as he faces a Bills’ defense that has given up an average of 270 yards and 2 touchdowns a game through the air. Combine that with the fact that the Jaguars cannot run the football and you have yourself a juicy fantasy matchup again this week for Bortles. In DFS he can still be had for pretty cheap and is a good value play this week.
Allen Robinson — Robinson is simply having one of the most prolific receiving seasons in Jaguars’ history. He is on pace to catch 75 passes for 1,300 yards and 13 TD’s. If you have him on your team he is a must start this week as the Bills rank in the bottom third of the league against opposing wide receivers this year. In DFS he is an intriguing play, as he is not overly expensive and he has potential for a monster week.
Allen Hurns — Hurns, like Robinson, is having a monster year. His numbers aren’t quite as eye popping as Robinson’s, but he has been more consistent as he has a receiving touchdown in 4 straight games. Look for his hot streak to continue against a lackluster Bills’ pass defense. In DFS he is cheaper than his counterpart, Allen Robinson, and is a tremendous value play this week.
Julius Thomas — After missing the beginning of the season due to injury, it looks as if Thomas has found his stride in this young Jaguars’ passing attack. Last week he was able to manage 8 catches for 78 yards and a TD. Again, the Bills’ pass defense is not good, ranking 24th against opposing TE’s — Thomas is a must start in standard leagues. In DFS Thomas isn’t a true value play as he is the 7th most expensive TE, but his price is still moderate compared to some TE’s, so he is a decent play this week.
Feeling Lucky? Bryan Walters had a bunch of targets last week against the Texans. The Jaguars will be forced to pass the ball as they are not good at running and the Bills are great against the run, which will lead to a high volume of passing attempts. Walters could be the beneficiary of a high volume passing attack this week.
Sit ‘Em
Everyone Else — Jaguars D/ST is a mess and is unownable. Jason Myers is struggling just to make extra points. T.J. Yeldon is highly questionable and would have a bad matchup against a strong Bills’ run defense anyway. You can’t rely on any of the other Jags’ RB’s especially against the Bills’ run defense. Finally, Jaguars’ TE Marcedes Lewis has been a complete non factor in this offense.
