Honorable Mention: Bryan Walters, wide receiver, Jacksonville Jaguars
We may as well start reserving a spot on these lists and call them the “Bryan Walters Watch” or something ridiculous, because each week he impresses.
While his stat line of four catches on four targets for 64 yards isn’t going to wow anybody, it’s the great hands, dependable route running, and reliability that seems to ooze out of Walters whenever he’s on the field or targeted that makes him so great.
Walters hauled in 100 percent of targets in Week 5 and has caught over 90% of his targets so far this season. That’s the second-best mark in the NFL among wide receivers with at least 25% of snaps. He doesn’t have a single drop.
While Allen Robinson and Allen Hurns continue to get well deserved attention, Walters continues to pop each week and impresses with his tough grabs and ability so far.
