Prowling The Web: Jacksonville Jaguars have had bad luck
By Luke Sims
The Jacksonville Jaguars suffered a massive beatdown last week, but the future is promising. The latest articles suggest that that the run of bad luck may be ending.
Stock Watch: Jaguars have had an extended run of bad luck – ESPN
"The Jaguars have been hammered by injuries stretching all the way back to the start of training camp and several more players were added to the list during Sunday’s 51-17 loss at New England. If it didn’t sound so ridiculous, you’d swear the Jaguars were cursed. In reality, they’ve just been unlucky, and Lady Luck has earned a spot on the list of players and people whose stock lost value in Week 3 of the 2015 NFL season."
Setting The Table: Jaguars-Colts – Jacksonville Jaguars team site
"The Jaguars and Colts both enter Sunday 1-2. With the Houston Texans and Tennessee Titans also 1-2, Sunday’s winner at Lucas Oil Stadium will remain in first place. And while the winner also will exit Sunday with a .500 record, that does nothing to make the game less important. The Jaguars through three games have alternated between showing improvement from last year’s 3-13 record and struggling with inconsistency. They began the season with a 20-9 loss to Carolina that was defined by early mistakes and second-half offensive struggles, and then responded with a 23-20 Week 2 victory over Miami."
Gus Bradley regrets Jags’ tactics in pass defense – Florida Times-Union
"On Monday afternoon, Jaguars coach Gus Bradley struck a tone of regret in how the Jaguars’ defense tried to stop New England quarterback Tom Brady. The Jaguars didn’t blitz much, but that wasn’t Bradley’s main concern. He was more troubled by how the Jaguars got away from their principles of tighter, man coverage as opposed to the zone looks, which they heavily relied on."
