Jason Myers, place kicker, Jacksonville Jaguars
There’s no way we could forget about Jason Myers here.
A week after missing a field goal and extra point, Myers came through big for the Jacksonville Jaguars. Connecting on three field goals, including the game winner and a kick from over 50 yards to end the first half, Myers was perfect for the Jags.
Rebounding from a mediocre debut in one of the most high pressure jobs on the field is pretty difficult, but Myers made it look easy. Credit should be given to the kicker for keeping calm and doing his job well.
Of the 23 points the Jacksonville Jaguars put up on the Miami Dolphins, 11 of them came directly from Myers. It was a good day for the first-year NFL player.
