"The third-year veteran will play with a device protecting a finger injury, and Head Coach Gus Bradley said the expectation is Cyprien will play the whole game without limitations. But the bigger story is the Jaguars believe Cyprien has improved and is ready for a very good season. “Johnathan expects big things from himself and I’m telling you, he’s putting it on tape to the point where we believe he’s going to be a playmaker this year,” defensive coordinator Bob Babich said Wednesday. Bradley talked Wednesday about Cyprien’s poise and the speed at which he is playing. “I’m excited to see what takes place for Cyp this year,” Bradley said. As for the cast, Cyprien is working through it."
Former Jacksonville Jaguars kicker Josh Scobee struggles with new team – ESPN
"The all-time leading scorer in Jacksonville Jaguars history misfired on his first two field goal attempts with the Pittsburgh Steelers against New England on Thursday night. Scobee missed attempts of 44 and 46 yards wide right, which, according to NBC’s telecast, made him the first Steelers kicker to miss two field goals in a game since Allan Watson in 1970."
Kyle Love hopes to show the Jacksonville Jaguars what they are missing out on – ESPN
"“I’ve always played with a chip on my shoulder, not being a drafted guy, just basically having to bring it in from the last guy in,’’ Love said. “It’s kind of the same situation. A lot of these people have counted me out. You can’t think like that.“You’ve just got to keep on proving people wrong, and that’s what I continue to do at a high level.’’"
