Prowling The Web: Jacksonville Jaguars OTAs Continue to Create Speculation
By Luke Sims
OTAs are going and the Jacksonville Jaguars keep getting better this offseason.
Jacksonville Jaguars OTAs Day Four – Jaguars Team Site
"We look like guys are playing fast. The guys who have been here going into Year Three I think understand some of the nuances after being together for a couple of years. The new guys – (cornerback Davon) House and (safety) Sergio (Brown) – I think they’re picking things up pretty good. We’re improved, for sure.”"
The Jacksonville Jaguars Claimed Jeff Tuel Off Waivers – Jaguars Team Site
"Tuel, who was waived by the Bills last Friday, played collegiately at Washington State and originally signed with the Bills as an undrafted free agent in 2013. He started one of two games played for the Bills in 2013 and spent last season on the Bills’ practice squad."
Assessing the Chance that Ace Sanders Ends Up on the Roster – Bleacher Report
"However, his versatility and his explosive style of play have taken a backseat, and he only has himself to blame. Violating the NFL’s substance-abuse policy and getting suspended for the first four games took him out of the picture for the Jaguars offense last season. He had a good but not great rookie season in 2013, but 2014 was a near-absent year for Sanders. Six receptions for 55 yards in 12 games were not what Sanders had in mind for 2014."
Ryan Davis is Expected to Make Up for Production from Missing Dante Fowler Jr. – ESPN
"Defensive end Ryan Davis is one of the players who have to step up now that Dante Fowler Jr. is out for the season. Davis has carved out a nice little role for himself as a third-down rusher. He is good multi-gap rusher, too, and surprisingly effective inside despite being only 260 pounds. If he continues to produce the way he did last season he could find himself earning a multi-year contract."
