Jacksonville Jaguars 2015 Over/Under Win Total at 5.5

The responsible gentlemen who run Black and Teal certainly would never endorse gambling, but it’s still fun to look at some of the propositions and bets one can make. One of my favorite ones in the offseason is the over/under win totals Vegas comes up with.

With free agency in the rearview mirror and the draft only a week away, CG Technology sports books put up their propositions for consumption. Before the 2014 season, CG set the over/under for the Jacksonville Jaguars at 4.5, and I thought that was somewhat pessimistic. Well the Jaguars made sure the under won that bet, but this year they are getting a little bit more respect.

"CG’s 2015 win totals as of February 13:Jacksonville: 5.5"

That seems about right, as most prognosticators would probably say the Jaguars are around a 6-win team. I think 6 wins is the floor for this team given all their additions in free agency and pending additions through the draft. The Jaguars need to start showing some improvement in the win column, and that will happen as long as Blake Bortles improves.

In case you missed it, I went ahead and predicted the entire 2015 season for the Jaguars, so go ahead and take the over here.

Similarly, the odds for all week 1 games were released by the Westgate SuperBook, and the Jaguars are underdogs at home against the Carolina Panthers.

"Panthers (-4, 43.5) at Jaguars, 1 p.m."

The Jaguars are getting 4 at home, so go ahead and take the home team here.
