According to reports from The Sun Sentinel and NFL.Com the Jaguars have agree to sign former Miami Dolphins Defensive Tackle Jared Odrick and former Dallas Cowboys Offensive Tackle Jermey Parnell.

Here is what Black and Teal writer Luke Sims had to say about Jared Odrick.

"Odrick is a prized commodity because of his versatility. He can play all over the defensive line and has been successful performing multiple roles for the Dolphins. With Ndamukong Suh expected to come down to Miami, Odrick will likely have to find someplace else to land."

More from Black and Teal

Odrick will give depth and flexibility to the Jaguars defensive line. He has the ability to fill in at the Defensive Tackle position if either

Sen’Derrick Marks

or

Roy Miller

is not healthy and he can also take snaps at the Defensive End position.

In his four season with Miami, Odrick has tallied up 129 tackles and 11.5 sacks, including a 2011 season in which he had a career best six sacks.

The details on the Jaguars deal with Jared Odrick have yet to be released but there is no question that he will be a great addition to the Jaguars Defensive Line.

The Jags also agreed to a contract with former Cowboys Offensive Tackle Jermey Parnell.

"The signing addresses an immediate need for Jacksonville after Austin Pasztor and Josh Wells struggled on the right side last season for a line that allowed a league-worst 71 sacks. –Marc Sessler NFL.com Writer"

Addressing the offensive tackle position was a huge priority for the Jaguars going into this off season, they now have what they anticipate to be their starting right tackle opposite Luke Joeckel. The details of the deal have already surfaced, the Jags will sign Parnell to a 5 year $32 Million dollar deal.

However, there is some risk in signing Parnell to a big 5 year deal considering he only has 7 career starts in his 5 years in the NFL. The Jags must of seen enough in his 5 starts this year in order to feel confident in the 28 year old offensive tackle.

With free agents being able to start signing contracts tomorrow at 4:00 pm expect the Jaguars to be very active over the next couple of days.
