The Jacksonville Jaguars found themselves in an early 21-0 hole, but were able to claw their way out come away with a final game winning drive to secure victory 25-24 over the New York Giants!

The Giants continue their skid, losing another game and dropping to 3-9. The Jaguars pick up just their second win of the season, but showed great progress in the second half, making adjustments to get at Eli Manning, limit the running game (which was killing the game for the Jags), and put up points on both offense and defense.

The defense got things going in the second half. Down 21-3, the Jaguars forced an Eli Manning fumble and dove on the ball in the end zone to close the gap 21-10.

The Jaguars followed that up with a brilliant 30 yard pass from Blake Bortles to Marqise Lee, bringing the margin of victory to just five points. Gus Bradley called a questionable two point conversion on the touchdown that failed.

The defense put the Jaguars ahead with a forced fumble returned 41 yards by rookie defensive back Aaron Colvin, bringing the Jaguars up by one. Another failed two point conversion put the Jaguars at 22 to 21, just slightly ahead.

The Giants didn’t quit, battling back for a field goal that almost put away the game. The Jaguars hadn’t managed anything but three and outs since their touchdown, amassing one yard in their two drives. Blake Bortles wasn’t done, though, and managed to drive the Jaguars down to the 25 yard line, setting up a Josh Scobee kick.

Scobee nailed it through, putting the Jaguars up by one.

With no timeouts left, the Giants were forced to put the game in Eli Manning’s hands and the defense brought him down for another sack fumble, securing victory.

It was a nail biter.

It was not very pretty.

But for those of us who are Jags fans, it’s the best feeling we’ve had in a long, long time.

Good job Jags, way to get another victory!
