Jacksonville Jaguars Fantasy Football Value Picks: Denard Robinson

facebooktwitterreddit

Denard Robinson fantasy football stud.” Get used to hearing that. The latest fantasy football value pick from the Jacksonville Jaguars, Denard Robinson fantasy value has increased dramatically following the Jacksonville Jaguars’ win over the Cleveland Browns last week.

Robins was the primary driver of that victory with 127 yards on the ground paired with a score.

The big thing for Robinson was just being given a chance. He had shown flashes of potential before, but he was given free reign following Toby Gerhart’s injury. He responded to have a fantastic game for those of you who started him on your fantasy team…which was pretty much nobody except one commenter I have found.

The question heading forward was whether or not Robinson could replicate his success. Based on his ability to explode through the holes the offensive line was finding last week and his ability to evade tacklers and make the most of his opportunities, Robinson looks like a perfect value pick as someone with high potential in each game. Whether the Jaguars can tap that potential remains to be seen, but against the Miami Dolphins this week I am confident that the offensive line will find success and Robinson will also excel as a result.

Robinson is averaging an impressive 4.4 yards per carry currently and became the Jaguars’ season leader on the ground after just one big game. He’s cementing himself as the starter, replacing “workhorse” Toby Gerhart, who many had high hopes for at the start of the season (myself included).

If you need a running back this week or for the rest of the season, give Robinson a look. He’ll get plenty of chances in Jacksonville and he’ll likely respond well, making the most of his opportunities to be “the guy” for the Jaguars. He’s widely available, but is the third most added running back this week so if he’s available you’ll be among many who are snapping him up. You’ll likely be pleased you did. Matthew Berry, however, is not optimistic.
