More from Jacksonville Jaguars News

The Jacksonville Jaguars are in Washington for their second straight road game as they face of against Robert Griffin III and the Redskins. Both teams are trying to bounce back from week 1 losses and avoid the dreaded 0-2 start.

The Jaguars looked like they were going to pull off the biggest upset of week 1 against the Philadelphia Eagles, but the offense sputtered in the second half and gave Chip Kelly and Nick Foles too many opportunities. If the Jaguars want to win today, they need to be more consistent on offense and avoid leaving a handicapped defense on the field for too long. Starting safety Johnathan Cyprien is out as he recovers from a concussion, and his absence leaves a huge hole in the back end of the secondary. Robert Griffin III struggled to get the ball down the field against the Houston Texans in week 1, but the Jaguars don’t have a pass rusher the caliber of J.J. Watt. The Jaguars defensive line as a whole has to step up and make sure RGIII doesn’t have enough time to get into a groove.
