Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Miami Dolphins: Keep Your Enemies Close – 5 Questions with Phin Phanatic

The Jacksonville Jaguars are fresh off their first win of the 2014 regular season as they host the Miami Dolphins this weekend. Up-and-down for most of the year, the Dolphins have strung together a few impressive performances in a row, and they present a pretty tough challenge for a young Jaguars squad.

With the intent of getting some more information on our opponent, we enlisted the help of Brian Miller over at Phin Phanatic. Here are his brief answers to our questions:

1. The Dolphins offensive line was a mess last year for several reasons. How much has it improved in 2014?

"They were so bad the Dolphins added four new starters and moved their Pro bowl center to guard. They are very good this year and tough to beat."

2. Ryan Tannehill was supposedly almost benched earlier this season, but that possibility has seemingly gone away. How has Tannehill progressed since he’s come into the league, and is it enough to consider him Miami’s QB of the future?

"He is too inconsistent to be considered a franchise QB at this point. Maybe that changes in another year. Over the last 3 weeks though he has the highest completion percentage in the NFL so yes he is improving."

3. Which Dolphins rookie could have the biggest impact in Sunday’s game?

"Jarvis Landry the team’s 2nd round wide receiver is getting better each week and is ready to break out."

4. With Knowshon Moreno now out, can Lamar Miller carry the entire workload at running back?

"Yes, because he has since the first series of week 2 and he hasn’t regressed at all. Miller is a very confident runner and is getting better."

5. What’s your prediction for the game?

"I don’t make predictions so I will say what I always do. Blake Bortles will get injured, nothing major, and Chad Henne will get sacked for a safety. The Dolphins will snap a punt out of the endzone and the game will end in a 2-2 tie."
