Jacksonville Jaguars 2014 Training Camp Scrimmage: Twitter Recap

The Jacksonville Jaguars held their annual intrasquad scrimmage on Saturday night and, as one would expect, the focus was mainly on the quarterbacks. Here are some of the snippets via Twitter of the night:

One of the biggest stars of the night were the new scoreboards getting their first run at some actual football.

There were several players who got the night off, most notably starting running back Toby Gerhart.

The excitement came quickly, as rookie running back Storm Johnson returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown, although it probably would not have been a TD in live action.

Chad Henne and Blake Bortles alternated drives, and both players had their ups and downs.

Bortles’ best throw of the night came when he was backed up at his own 2 yard line, and he managed to float a back shoulder throw to Mike Brown.

Bortles got his first touchdown pass in red zone drills.

Unfortunately the end of the scrimmage was plagued with drops from several receivers.

Overall both the QBs did fairly well, but Bortles looked slightly better than Henne.

And the night ended with fireworks because the Jaguars are awesome.
