Good stuff, I’m a fan of that second round trade, and it’s very likely if it so happens that a couple QBs are available there. I think we’d take Arthur Brown over Armstead though

    • LukeNSims

If Brown lasts past the first, he’d be a great pickup.

I’d be completely OK with that. I like Brown.

I’m gonna put together draft scenarios for my next article. If the Jags pick … 1. Geno, 2. Dion, 3. Trade down

    • LukeNSims

      Sounds like a good read!

  • David

I really like Wreh-Wilson in the 3rd. That would be outstanding!

Draft a LT in the 2nd? I don’t really see Armstead as a RT. If Arthur Brown, Jonathan Banks, and Matt Elam are all there in the 2nd we have to take one of those guys. Probably Banks in the 2nd and Zach Ertz in the 3rd, I do like Brown though it would be hard to pass on him.

      ^^ Well put

I’d only like Jets to take QB in 4th or later. I’d rather have Patton, Woods or Williams in round 2. If we got Mingo, WR, and Ertz, then we would address some huge needs right away. Then, draft Dysert in the 4th.

Well, the problem with the Jets taking Dysert in the 4th is…. I have the Jags taking Dysert in the 4th. The very first pick of the 4th…

You have got to be kidding with this mock draft, no comprehension about what the Lions needs are. They are not going to take two DE’s in the first three rounds. The Lions are going to take one of the three LT’s in the first round because the drop off is significant between the top three and the next group of Tackles. That can not be said of the DE’s. You can get as good a DE in the second round as well as the first round. The Lions are moving Reiff to either the RT or RG that is where is going to practice according to the Lions, and reporters who cover them. Please don’t say well did you see how the coaches facial expression when Ansah was working out? That is BS and if that was true I wonder what his facial expression would look like when Stafford is knocked out for the season. Also Brown is an okay pick in the second round if he can prove he can play outside, but he is an ILB and they just signed Tulloch to a big contract last year. In the second round if he is thier they will take Montgomery they like him and his athletism and think he is going to get better. Third round is the OLB like Greene or the best WR with the top speed to blow the top off the secondary.

I appreciate the Detroit input, but the draft fell the way it did and that’s who I felt the Lions could draft to improve. Milliner is generally considered the top CB but I guess with who is available, Lane Johnson could be a pick (considering Joeckel and Fisher are both already gone in this draft). Also, Durant left and Arthur Brown is a great talent who would be very hard to pass up. Okafor helps with the loss of Avril.

Don’t just look at it as if I was just plugging guys in. I wanted to fit teams needs with talent. However, I think it could easily fall this way, but if you truly feel the need, come on back after the draft and tell me “I told you so.”
