The Jacksonville Jaguars are 2-5 and looking to salvage a season that's hanging by a thread. In Week 8, they'll welcome the 5-2 Green Bay Packers at EverBank Stadium. While it looks like a lopsided matchup, the Jags have a few things going in their favor.

For starters, the offense has played much better. Trevor Lawrence has played well the past few weeks after a rough start to 2024. The offensive line has also improved after struggling to protect the first three weeks. Dating back to Week 4, the group has given up just three sacks while paving the way for Tank Bigsby in the running game.

Speaking of Bigsby, he's been a revelation this season. After an underwhelming rookie campaign, the former Auburn Tiger is one of the most productive running backs in the NFL, toting the rock 67 times for 415 yards with four touchdowns.

Similarly, Brian Thomas Jr. is playing like a vested veteran even though he's only six games into his NFL career. The former LSU Tiger is averaging 17.1 yards per carry and is on pace to be the first Jaguars rookie receiver ever to cross the 1,000-yard mark. There's a favorable weather forecast for Week 8, so Lawrence should have no trouble dialing a few deep shots early in the game.

On defense, Jacksonville will be getting linebacker Foyesase Oluokun in time for the game. On the other hand, the unit will need to wait at least one more week for veteran Andrew Wingard to return. Still, it's good to see the Jags get healthier at the midpoint of the season. Having said that, a tough test awaits them in Week 8.

The Jaguars are a 4.5-point underdog for the game, and the Packers just disposed of the Houston Texans. This is to say that the margin for error will be minimal. It will be up to Jacksonville to make the most out of their opportunities. With that in mind, here's how you can watch the game.
