The Jacksonville Jaguars surely expected the worst when they saw Travon Walker exit the Week 4 game against the San Francisco 49ers with a wrist injury. Fortunately, they have gotten positive updates the past few days.
Jeremy Fowler of ESPN broke the news one day after the 26-21 win over the Niners that Walker would meet with a specialist. He then reported that the fourth-year pass rusher was classified as week-to-week. However, head coach Liam Coen has since stated that No. 44 is day-to-day, meaning that there's a chance he'll suit up against the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday Night Football.
There are four days left before, as of this writing, so the Jags have plenty of time to make a decision. For the time being, though, Walker sat out Thursday's practice.
Initial Jaguars injury report vs. the Chiefs on Monday Night Football
Aside from Travon Walker, linebacker Yasir Abdullah was held out of Wednesday's practice. Wide receiver Dyami Brown was listed as limited. He originally suffered a shoulder injury in Week 3 and missed the 49ers game.
Rookie offensive lineman Wyatt Milum is still dealing with the knee injury he sustained in training camp and was one of a handful of players aside from Brown who got the limited designation. The others were left guard Ezra Cleveland (concussion/ankle), Chuma Edoga (knee), right tackle Anton Harrison (elbow), offensive lineman Patrick Mekari (knee), safety Eric Murray (neck), and Bhayshul Tuten (shoulder).

Travon Walker and Dyami Brown are the biggest question marks for the Jaguars
When discussing Travon Walker's status for Week 5, Liam Coen told reporters that the team would try to replace him with a combination of Emmanuel Ogbah and Dawuane Smoot if he missed any time. Similarly, rookie B.J. Green would see an uptick in playing time.
But aside from Walker, Jacksonville could be without Dyami Brown. The fifth-year receiver missed Week 4. Parker Washington and Tim Patrick had their roles expanded for the game.
Brown was a game-time decision against the 49ers. He has now had more time to recover from the shoulder injury, so his availability for Monday Night should be known early on.
On a related note, none of the injuries the Jaguars suffered on the offensive line appear to be serious, but it will be something worth monitoring in the upcoming days.
Ideally, the Jaguars would love to go onto Monday Night with all hands on deck. That said, they still have enough playmakers to potentially pull off the upset.
