Madden 25 has assessed the top players at their respective positions, and the popular video game franchise has not forgotten about a few notable Jacksonville Jaguars.

As you might imagine, many usual suspects are at the top of those ratings, with last season’s Super Bowl finalists predictably topping many charts. Doug Pederson’s group, however, has some strong offensive and defensive representation.

The new video game, which comes out worldwide on August 16, rated players at various positions on the football field. The new video game, which comes out worldwide on August 16, rated players at various positions on the football field.

Evan Engram and other Jaguars offensive players make the top 10 lists

Two Jaguars made the top 10 list at their respective offensive positions on the Madden 25 list.

At running back, Travis Etienne came in at No. 6 with a 90 rating overall, a point below the Texans’ Joe Mixon and a point above former NFL rushing champion Josh Jacobs. The Clemson product has rushed for over 1,000 yards in his two seasons as a pro but only averaged 3.8 yards per carry in 2023, well below his 5.1-yard average over the previous campaign.

Unsurprisingly, Christian McCaffrey tops that list with a 99 running back rating, with Nick Chubb behind him (96) and Derrick Henry (94).

The other Jaguar to crack a top-10 list was Evan Engram, the sixth-highest-rated tight end at 88. The 29-year-old made his second NFL Pro Bowl last season and has seen his career rejuvenated after it looked dead in the water with the Giants.

Engram had 963 yards through the air to lead the Jags in 2023, and he became the eighth tight end in league history to have 100 receptions in a single season during the Super Bowl era, with 114 last year. He’s two points behind David Njoku of the Browns and two ahead of Detroit’s Sam Laporta on the Madden list.

At the top of the tight ends list, as you might expect, was Travis Kelce at No. 1 (99), followed closely by George Kittle (97).

On a related note, Trevor Lawrence was left out of the top 10 with a 77 rating. He's tied with fellow quarterback Kyler Murray at No. 18.

Josh Hines-Allen and other Jaguars defensive players crack the top 10 lists

Madden didn’t forget a pair of Jaguars who had exceptional 2023 campaigns defensively. The defensive standout for Mike Caldwell’s crew last season was Josh Allen, now known as Josh Hines-Allen.

In 2023, he made the Pro Bowl for the second time, and deservedly so, setting a franchise record for sacks in a season with 17.5. As a result, he earned a big fat contract extension to the tune of five years and $150 million, with $88 million guaranteed.

According to the newest Madden video game, Hines-Allen is tied with DeMarcus Lawrence for sixth among edge rushers, scoring a 91. Topping the list at that position are Cleveland’s Myles Garrett and the Cowboys’ Micah Parsons (98). The Niners’ Nick Bosa is just above Hines-Allen (96), while Khalil Mack is right below him (90).

Foye Oluokun rounds out the top 10 rated Jags players. The 29-year-old has been a tackling machine since joining the Jags, leading the league in that department in 2022 (128) and 2023 (111). The son of Nigerian immigrants will be with this team for the foreseeable future, signing a four-year, $45 million extension in March.

Oluokun is rated sixth among off-ball linebackers, with an overall score of 89. That’s two more points than Dre Greenlaw and one below C.J. Mosley. Fred Warner tops that positional list at 97, two points above Roquan Smith.

A former Jaguar, meanwhile, is still a highly rated cover man by Madden standards, with Jalen Ramsey ranked second for cornerbacks at 96, one below Sauce Gardner.
