Way-too-early predictions for all 13 Jaguars' draftees in 2023: Rounds 5, 6

Antonio Johnson, S - Round 5, pick 160: 13 games, 7 total tackles

Even though Antonio Johnson has ample experience lining up in the slot, he'll play safety in Jacksonville because the coaching staff believes that's where he can better utilize his skillset. The former Texas A&M won't get much playing time as a rookie due to the presence of Rayshawn Jenkins, Andre Cisco, and Andre Cisco.

Johnson might get a few snaps here and there in 2023 but he will spend most of his first NFL season on special teams.

Parker Washington, WR - Round 6, pick 185: 11 catches, 164 yards, and 1 TD

You could call Parker Washington a luxury pick given that the Jaguars were set at wide receiver with Calvin Ridley, Zay Jones, and Christian Kirk taking the top three spots on the depth chart. However, Jacksonville needed depth at the position and Parker will most likely compete with Tim Jones, who was unremarkable last year, for playing time.

The former Nittany Lion will find a way to get on the field and finish his rookie season with 10 catches for 140 yards and one touchdown.

Christian Braswell, CB - Round 6, pick 202: 16 games, 1 start

With Tyson Campbell and Darious Williams slated to play outside in 2023, Tre Herndon will be tasked with manning the slot. While Herndon is a fine player, Braswell has played nickel in the rookie minicamp and will compete for playing time in the upcoming months.

Braswell might need to wait until next year to seize the nickel job but he should see an uptick in playing time as the 2023 season progresses.
