The Jacksonville Jaguars 2023 NFL season didn't end the way they wanted it to, going on a 1-5 skid in the final six games of the season to finish at 9-8 and miss the postseason entirely.

They'll look to re-tool in the offseason and get back to being a playoff team and a potential winner of the AFC South. Whether or not they can bounce back comes down to the play of their quarterback, Trevor Lawrence, who has shown flashes of greatness but has struggled with the level of consistency we would've come to expect from the former No. 1 overall pick.

Early betting odds have been released for the 2024 season and one of the markets that is now available to bet on is the MVP market. One of the best ways to see how much faith people have in a quarterback to perform is to look at their MVP odds for the upcoming campaign, so that's exactly what we're going to do with Lawrence.

Let's take a look at his MVP odds for 2024.

Trevor Lawrence is a potential MVP Dark Horse

Trevor Lawrence's odds to win NFL MVP aren't as short as Jaguars fans may have hoped, but the good news is he's still in the conversation. Oddsmakers and bettors haven't completely lost faith in the Jaguars quarterback quite yet.

As of writing this article, Lawrence's MVP odds sits at +2500, which is tied with Tua Tagovailoa and Aaron Rodgers for the 12th best odds in the league. A $100 bet on him to win the award would win you a profit of $2,500 if he's able to achieve the feat.

Lawrence has played at an MVP level of times and for certain stretches of his career, but his lack of consistency has been a red flag for him. He took a small step back in 2023. His completion percentage dropped slightly and his quarterback rating fell from 95.2 in 2022 to 88.5 in 2023. Most notably, he three 14 interceptions in his 16 starts.

He didn't have a bad season by any means, but to live up to his pre-draft potential, he'll need to take a significant step forward in 2024. If he's able to do that, the sky is the limit for the Clemson product.
