Sunday was great for the Jaguars in the AFC South standings

The Jacksonville Jaguars are one of the best teams in the NFL. They have been since starting 2-6 in 2022. From that point on, they have really turned the corner as an organization.

On Sunday, they had a big test against the Pittsburgh Steelers who are considered one of the better teams in the AFC as well. The Jaguars had a lot to prove in this one.

Well, they came out on top after a hard-fought game. This team has now won five straight games after starting the season 1-2. They deserve a lot of credit as they are now up to 6-2 on the season. It has been really fun to watch.

This was also a great Sunday for the Jaguars in every way. They won their game which is obviously the most important thing. However, they got some help within the division as well.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are looking good in the division after week eight.

For one, the Indianapolis Colts were defeated by the New Orleans Saints. The Colts had a chance to win the whole time but they ended up with the hard loss to drop their record to 3-5.

The 3-3 Houston Texans were playing the 0-6 Carolina Panthers so you kind of figured that they'd get the win. Wrong. The Carolina Panthers won't be 0-17 as they finally won their first game of the season. Every team in the NFL has a win now. The Texans fall to 3-4.

Now, the Tennessee Titans entered the weekend in last place. They were also the only team to get a win as they found a way to hold on against the Atlanta Falcons. It was a good game for them but they just improved their record to 3-4.

Now, the Jaguars enter the bye week with three more wins than everyone else in their division. This has been a great first eight weeks and now it is time for a break. They have played very well and should be proud. Hopefully, they get as healthy as possible during the bye and return stronger than ever.

When they return from the bye, it will be a big inter-league test against the San Francisco 49ers. Obviously, that will be a great game as two Super Bowl contenders are set to have a good match.

The Jaguars now have a good cushion in their division and the results of this weekend are playing a big part in that. If they just worry about their own game going forward, they will walk to a division title.
