The Jacksonville Jaguars are one of the best teams in the NFL. It took a while but they are getting credit from the national media as well. People outside of the fanbase are starting to realize just how good they can be.

Every week, Colin Cowherd of FS1 reveals his ranking of the top ten teams in the NFL. The bottom five are usually in flux all year but they all make sense in terms of being really good teams.

For the last two weeks, the Jacksonville Jaguars came in as the fifth-best team in the NFL according to Colin. It seemed odd that he kept them at five after beating the Pittsburgh Steelers on the road but you are usually splitting hairs in the top six or seven. Would they be five for the third week in a row?

This week, the San Diego Chargers, Seattle Seahawks, Dallas Cowboys, and Detroit Lions rounded out the top ten. Then, he put the Jacksonville Jaguars at six.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are the number six team on Colin's ranking.

He dropped them one spot coming off the bye-week. It makes sense because they were idle so they didn't do anything to move up. He did mention that they are 11-2 in their last 13 games and lead the NFL in takeaways. He loves the coach, QB, and everything that surrounds them.

Ranked at number five is the San Francisco 49ers who have lost three in a row. Like the Jags, the 49ers were on a bye in week nine so there wasn't anything to see. They did trade for Chase Young so it will be interesting to see how he makes their already elite defense better.

San Francisco also happens to be Jacksonville's next opponent so we will see how they match up against one another. If the Jaguars win this game (their sixth win in a row) against a team ranked higher than them, it would make no sense for them not to make a significant jump in the ranking again.

He put the Philadelphia Eagles, Cincinnati Bengals, Kansas City Chiefs, and Baltimore Ravens ahead of them too at number 4-1. All of these teams are fantastic and will make it a very exciting playoff season in the NFL.

it is always nice to see the Jaguars in conversations like this. They were once so bad and nowhere near lists like this but the tables have turned. Hopefully, a big win gets them ranked even higher after week 10.
