Jaguars vs. Saints final score prediction for Thursday Night Football in Week 7
By Peter Dewey
The Jacksonville Jaguars have won three straight games, but they find themselves as underdogs in Week 7 against the New Orleans Saints.
The Saints (3-3) are hoping to get back in the win column at home after losing to the Houston Texans in Week 6.
The spread for this game has moved a ton since opening, as a knee injury to Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence has cast some uncertainty on the team. Lawrence is listed as questionable for this game, and it appears that oddsmakers think he’s going to play in this matchup.
The spread moved from Jaguars +1 to Jaguars +3 after Lawrence’s injury was announced. It has now moved back down to Jaguars +1.5. If bettors were able to grab the Jags plus the three points, they have to be feeling good.
So, how should we predict the final score in this matchup with the star quarterback banged up? I think we could be in for an upset…

Jaguars score prediction
This week, I picked Jacksonville to win in my NFL straight-up picks for every Week 7 game on BetSided.
Lawrence seems to be trending in the right direction to play, and the Jaguars have been solid the last three weeks, outscoring their opponents by nearly 40 points combined.
Meanwhile, the Saints have one of the worst offenses in the NFL, ranking 26th in the league in yards per play this season. The team may get Jamaal Williams back, but that doesn’t change much against a Jaguars team that shut down the Indianapolis Colts’ running game in Week 6.
I do think the Saints have a solid defensive unit, so I’m not planning on a shootout in this game. It’s worth noting that the Saints have scored 17 or fewer points in four of their six games this season.
If Lawrence plays, I can’t help but bet on the Jags to take this matchup. I expect it to be a one-score game, but the Jags can cover this spread easily.
Final score prediction: Jaguars 23, Saints 17
