The Jacksonville Jaguars were riding high early in the 2023 season, going 6-2 before their BYE. Unfortunately, they've struggled ever since, going 2-5 the past seven weeks. To make matters worse, they're at risk of missing the playoffs, just one month after looking like a lock.

The Jags no longer have a lead in the AFC South and find themselves in a three-way time with the Houston Texans and the Indianapolis Colts. This is why they'll need to beat the Carolina Panthers in Week 17. While a win will ensure they remain at the top of the division, a loss would put a dent in their playoff hopes.

Compounding the issue is that Trevor Lawrence has been ruled out, so the Jaguars will need to find a way to win without their starting quarterback. With that in mind, here's everything you need to know for the game.

Jaguars vs. Panthers Week 17 injury report

The Jaguars' injury report for Week 17 is a short one yet impactful. As noted before, Lawrence won't be suiting up, putting an end to his streak of 51 consecutive starts. The third-year quarterback suffered a shoulder sprain in the loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and didn't practice during the week.

Lawrence had previously managed to play despite getting the questionable designation after suffering a knee injury, an ankle sprain, and a concussion. With Lawrence out, C.J. Beathard will be behind center Sunday.

The silver lining is that left tackle Cam Robinson will be watching Beathard's blind side. Although Robinson got the questionable tag with a knee injury, he's set to play. He spent four weeks on Injured Reserve but he's now back in the fold and should give the offensive line a boost. Wide receiver Zay Jones was also listed as questionable but it's uncertain if he'll suit up.

On the Panthers' side of things, cornerback Troy Hill has been ruled out, while offensive tackle Ikem Ekwonu (foot), cornerback Jaycee Horn (toe), linebacker Franke Luvu (quad), linebacker Marquis Haynes (back) are listed as questionable for Week 17.
