The Jacksonville Jaguars soared high, grabbing their second win of the year, but it was far from a flawless victory. With a final score of 23-7 over the Atlanta Falcons, the Jags showed their potential but more so exposed their weaknesses.

The Jaguars' offense started strong in the initial stages of the game, scoring 10 points within their first three drives. Quarterback Trevor Lawrence demonstrated his abilities by connecting with wide receiver Calvin Ridley for a 30-yard touchdown. However, his performance was uninspiring, unimpressive, and almost disappointing, with 23 completions out of 30 attempts for a total of just 207 yards and only one touchdown.

The difference between a fantastic win and the Jaguars showing in London came down to one play. In the 4th quarter, 3rd down on the ATL 25, Lawrence missed an unbelievably open Christian Kirk. It could have been a fantastic highlight touchdown strike that would energize the Jaguars throughout the season, but it ended up a broken mess and installed doubt in the Jaguars fan base.

The Jaguars' defense was glorious. Cornerback Darious Williams executed a brilliant interception, his first as a Jaguar, returning it for a touchdown and boosting the team's lead to 17-0. This was a significant turning point in the game, reaffirming the Jaguars' defensive prowess.

The Jaguars and the AFC South Rollercoaster

All teams in the division, including the Indianapolis Colts, the Tennessee Titans, and the Houston Texans, are now 2-2. The Colts' loss and the Titans' and Texans' wins have set up an interesting dynamic for the division.

The Colts' disappointment was a relief; considering their previous performances, their loss was surprising. Coming back from a massive halftime deficit only to lose in overtime, it will be hard to regroup and regain any winning momentum.

The Titans and Texans secured wins, keeping them in the running for the top spot in the division. With another noteworthy performance from CJ Stroud, the Texans look like an imminent threatHe shone against a robust defense, reaffirming his status as a top player. His performance will undoubtedly boost the Texan's hype, momentum and confidence in upcoming games.

A must win for the Jaguars in Week 5

Meanwhile, the Buffalo Bills are emerging as a strong contender in the NFL, following their spectacular win over the Miami Dolphins. The Bills' performance was dominant, reaffirming their status as one of the most formidable teams this season.

Despite the Jag's victory and evaluating everything that happened in Week 4, it's not looking great for Week 5. The Jaguars have not shown any signs of being able to compete with the Bills next Sunday. There is a realistic scenario that the Jaguars will go into Week 6 of the season in last place in the AFC South.

If the Jaguars want to be a serious contender and establish themselves as an elite team they must win next Sunday. Given how talented the Bills are, it won't be an easy task. On the bright side, the bout will be in London at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium instead of Buffalo.
