Jaguars vs. Texans game today: Time, Location, Streaming, Odds, Injury Report & More
• Here's all the info you need to know ahead of the game
The Jacksonville Jaguars are looking to win their second game of the season when they welcome the Houston Texans in Week 3. While no divisional game is ever easy, it looks like the Jags have the early edge over their AFC South rival.
For starters, the Jaguars have more talent on offense. Although they only managed to score nine points in Week 2, they had 31 in the opener, so it's easy to see the loss against the Chiefs as an outlier rather than a sign of things to come. On top of that, their defense has come through the last two games, registering six turnovers, good for second in the league.
Meanwhile, the Texans will be without several key players including but not limited to left tackle Laremy Tunsil and cornerback Derek Stingley. That said, there's no such thing as a guaranteed win in the NFL. Jacksonville still needs to show up and prove they're indeed the superior team. With that in mind, here's all the info you need for the game.
Jaguars vs. Texans injury report for Week 3:
The Jags have already ruled out wide receiver Zay Jones and rookie defensive back Antonio Johnson for Week 3. Head coach Doug Pederson met with the media and said didn't want to expose Jones, who is dealing with a knee injury, further. Meanwhile, Johnson continues to recover from the hamstring injury that has prevented him from making his season debut.
Outside linebacker Josh Allen, defensive tackle Foley Fatukasi and safety Andrew Wingard are all listed as questionable but they're set to play.
On the other side of the aisle, Texans left tackle Laremy Tunsil, who's dealing with an ankle injury, won't suit up. Linebacker Denzel Perryman, cornerback Taviere Thomas and safety Jalen Pitre have also been ruled out. On top of that, Houston has placed cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. on the Injury Reserve, so he'll miss at least four games.
