Jaguars fans had a lot to say about Trevor Lawrence's extension on social media
The Jaguars got one more small piece of business done before the six week break, signing Trevor Lawrence to a big contract extension on Thursday that'll keep him in Jacksonville for five more years. It was the biggest question hanging over the Jags' offseason, and his new $55 million per season salary ties him with Joe Burrow for highest in football.
It was a big day for Lawrence, but it was a bigger day for Jaguars Twitter, who got to spend an other-wise boring June day tweeting about something besides who to keep an eye on in training camp threads. The general consensus, believe it or not, was positive:

Regardless of how you feel about Trevor Lawrence the NFL quarterback, it's pretty clear to see why this is such a monumental deal for the Jaguars. They've *never* had a QB who they could even pay this much to create such a debate.
