There are several plotlines already developing for the game against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 2. But first, the Jacksonville Jaguars must check off a box and face the Indianapolis Colts in the season opener.

Although the Jags have had no trouble beating Indy at home, they haven't had much luck as a visitor, having lost five straight at Lucas Oil Field Stadium. The good news is that they're in a position to end the skid. After all, this is a different Jacksonville team, one that's built on last year's success and is poised to make lots of noise this season.

The bottom line is that the Jaguars must get off to a strong start and there won't be a better way to start the season than beating the Colts at Indianapolis. With that in mind, here's everything you need to know for the game, including, time, how to watch it, the over/under, and injuries.

Jaguars vs. Colts Injuries for Week 1 of the 2023 season

The Jaguars' injury report for this bout only includes two entries: Safety Antonio Johnson and defensive end Tyler Lacy. The former is dealing with a hamstring injury and the latter hurt his hip. Head coach Doug Pederson met with the local media and said Johnson is still a couple of weeks away. For the time being, he and Lacy have already been ruled out.

Defensive tackle Folorunso Fatukasi was in a boot during the preseason but is back in the fold. Having him at full strength is huge when you take into account that the Jaguars will be without defensive end DaVon Hamilton for the first four games (at least) of the season while he recovers from a non-football injury.

On the Colts' sideline, running back Zack Moss is still recovering from wrist surgery. With Jonathan Taylor still recovering from an ankle injury, third-string running back Deon Jackson will get the starting nod. Linebacker Shaquille Leonard cleared concussion protocol and is ready to go after being limited by injuries last year. Also, Defensive tackle DeForest Buckner was listed as limited Friday but has no designation heading into the game.
