3. Brandon McManus, kicker

It may feel like kicker Brandon McManus has become a weekly fixture of this column but you cannot let slide the fact that he's now missed three field goals the past two weeks. The Jaguars moved on from Riley Patterson and signed McManus because he was a proven commodity and could routinely nail kicks of 50+ yards. He's failed at both this season.

2. Tyson Campbell, cornerback

Tyson Campbell appeared to be on his way to the top 10 of cornerbacks in the NFL after a productive 2022 campaign. However, injuries have derailed his season, specifically hamstring and groin injuries. But like Walker Little, that's not an excuse. If the Jags are going with him, it's because he's healthy and they expect him to hold his own. He didn't in Week 16.

Against the Buccaneers, Campbell allowed five completions in five receptions for 65 yards with two touchdowns. Like most Jaguars players, he can't surely wait for the season to be over.

1. Trevor Lawrence, quarterback

Here's another Jaguars player who is banged up. Trevor Lawrence managed to suit up against Tampa Bay despite the fact that he cleared concussion protocol Saturday. Then again, it didn't make much of a difference, as he went on to throw two interceptions and lose a fumble, giving him five turnovers the past two weeks.

On the bright side, Lawrence seems to recognize that things aren't going well, and unless they quickly wake up, they're at risk of missing the playoffs altogether in 2023.
