Jaguars WR Calvin Ridley rebounds vs. Falcons: 5 bold predictions for Week 4
• Calvin Ridley is set to face his old team Sunday
2. The Jaguars pass rush will revive in Week 4, log 5 sacks, Foyesade Oluokun will add 1
The Jaguars' pass rush was dormant in Week 3, failing to get to C.J. Stroud even once. While there's no doubt the rookie quarterback is off to a strong start to his NFL career, Jacksonville's inability to stop him gave him an even bigger spotlight. The good news is that they'll have a chance for payback later in the season when they meet again. For the time being, the Jags can do nothing but bounce back, and bounce back they will against the Falcons.
Outside linebacker Josh Allen will show in London that his performance against the Texans was an outlier and not a sign of things to come. He'll register a couple sacks and Travon Walker will follow his lead and have a couple more. Captain Foyesade Oluokun, who's also facing his old team, will join the fun and contribute with a sack of his own.
1. Trevor Lawrence will get help from his supporting cast, throw 3 TDs, no INT
Trevor Lawrence isn't the reason the Jaguars are 1-2 but he hasn't posted numbers worth of MVP debate either. Then again, a closer look at the statsheet shows that he's been performing at a high level. He's simply not getting help from his supporting cast, whether it's the offensive line or his wide receivers.
That will change Sunday, the offensive will hit his stride and play like they did in to end the 2022 season. This means Lawrence will be getting optimal protection and his receiver corps will make huge players. On a side note, it goes without saying that the Jaguars will get back to .500.
