Jaguars vs. Bengals: Christian Kirk gets 100 yards, 2 TDs, other predictions for MNF
• Here are 5 predictions for Monday Night Football
The Jacksonville Jaguars are hitting their stride at the right time. After losing the San Francisco 49ers in Week 10, they've got back on track, disposing of two divisional foes in back-to-back weeks. Next, they will host the Cincinnati Bengals at EverBank Stadium on Monday Night Football.
While the Jaguars are on paper the better team, they cannot afford to take their foot off the gas pedal something they often did before their BYE. See, they went 6-2 in their first eight games but they were also inconsistent. They struggled to block up front, drops plagued them, and the offense suddenly cooled down without a warning.
All those issues came back to haunt the Jaguars in their loss to the 49ers, and if they want to avoid losing to the 8.5-point underdog Cincy at home, they'll need to play like they did the past two weeks. With that in mind, here are five predictions for the Monday Night bout.
5. Christian Kirk will get 100+ yards, 2 TDs vs. the Bengals
The Jacksonville Jaguars last played on Monday Night Football in the distant year of 2011. However, wide receiver Christian Kirk's latest appearance took place as a member of the Arizona Cardinals back in 2021. In fact, the former Texas A&M Aggie has played two Monday games, the one previously mentioned and one the year before.
In those two games, Kirk hauled in five receptions for 172 yards with two touchdowns. Kay Adams recently brought up the amusing stat in an exchange with the receiver, and Kirk responded that he would like to post that kind of production against the Bengals, "specifically the two-touchdown part."
While Kirk may not be able to get 172 yards, expect him to get close and reach the end zone twice in a game the Jaguars are favored to win.
