Ranking top 6 quarterbacks in Jaguars history
By Ryan Heckman
5. Trevor Lawrence
This guy is only going into Year 3 as a pro and as a Jaguar, but Trevor Lawrence is already no. 5 all-time on the Jaguars passing leaderboard. In two seasons, the 2021 first overall pick has thrown for 7.754 yards, 37 touchdowns and 25 interceptions.
Last season, though, was his true breakout. Lawrence's rookie campaign was a rough one, thanks mostly in part to a lack of talent around him and being under the shadow of head coach Urban Meyer. In 2022, Lawrence threw for 4,113 yards, 25 touchdowns and eight interceptions.
Leading the Jaguars to an improbable run to end the season, Lawrence helped the team win their final five games and go from 4-8 to 9-8, winning the division and making the postseason. Even more impressively, Lawrence and the Jags were down 27-0 to the Los Angeles Chargers in the Wild Card Game, but came back to win by a score of 31-30.
Lawrence then went on to come oh, so close to beating the Kansas City Chiefs in the Divisional Round, losing 27-20. It's safe to say that Lawrence's future with the team is incredibly bright, and in a few years, we could be talking about him taking over the top spot on a list like this. In fact, we could very well be looking at Lawrence atop the all-time passing list in roughly six seasons.
